INTERNATIONAL YOUNG AERONAUTS
We are proud to announce the establishment of a new aviation youth organization. International Young Aeronauts is an organization that promotes the education and direction for the next generation in "all" facets of aviation. Our goal is to join and unite the efforts of all the current aviation programs in "all" the air sports into one central location. This organization will provide the youth of today with the criteria, guidelines and support to grow into the leaders of aviation for tomorrow.
As a non profit organization we are asking for your input, suggestions and your endorsement in this program if you believe in our purpose. We are also asking for your support financially, physically or in any other way you deem appropriate. Committees are now being formed and if you would like to get involved and volunteer please contact me or if you would like further information please feel free to contact me via email, regular mail or phone.
The Officers for IYA are:
Tina Reeves - President - Youth Programs Chairman for the Balloon Federation of America and former BFA Director, International Ballooning Commission's Lighter-Than-Air Education Workgroup, Member of AOPA, EAA, NAA and WIA.
Judy Rice - Vice President - EAA Executive Director Youth Education, Project Manager for EAA's successful KidVenture as well as EAA's Science, Math & Technology Programs. Member of EAA, WIA, 99's, NCAE & CAP.
Amy Laboda - Secretary - Amy is Editor in Chief for Aviation For Women Magazine and former Editor Flying Magazine. Member AOPA, EAA, WIA & Diver's Alert Network
Mark Leibelt - Treasurer - Mark in an Airline Captain and flies DC-10's. Mark also flies hot air balloons and has flown aircraft from the smallest to the largest. Member of AOPA, EAA and ABS.
We are also honored to announce that NAA Elder Statesman Ed Yost and NAA Elder Statesman Colonel Joe Kittinger are Senior Advisors for International Young Aeronauts.
